Together with the global chain of Carrefour Bio stores and the Polish cosmetics brand Yope, we have initiated a pilot program, during which we encourage Poles to use the refilling station located in Carrefour Bio in Warsaw at ul. Pełczyńskiego 5. Customers who visit the market, instead of buying cosmetics in plastic packaging, can refill reusable bottles with four Yope products. Our program will last until the end of the year.
The machine can be filled with own packaging or glass and steel bottles, which we place in a designated place. The client chooses from four cosmetics: Verbena natural liquid soap, Mild antibacterial hand soap, Yunnan Chinese Tea Shower Gel and Oat Milk Hair Shampoo. Ultimately, each of them will contain eight products. After choosing the cosmetics, payment is made by card at the terminal. It takes about a minute to refill 480 ml capacity.
– In our opinion, automatic refilling machines for liquid products are one of the effective ways in reducing disposable plastic packaging – says Szymon Barabasz from Swapp. – In the survey we conducted a few months ago, most respondents confirmed their interest in such a solution. Now is the test time, but I can already say that the first days brought very optimistic data – he adds.
